Edward A. Havlik,
age 72 of Nashua, died
at his home Friday, July 4, 2008.
Private family services will be at a
later date.
The family will greet friends and
relatives at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home
in Nashua from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Edward A. Havlik was born August 28,
1935, at Pocahontas, Iowa, the son of Albert and Blanche
(Blaha) Havlik. He graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic
High School in 1954. Edward served in Korea with the CO.

1st Battalion Group of the 7th
Calvary from 1958 to 1960.
Ed was united in marriage to Marlene
Botine in Minnesota June 16, 1962. To this union four
children were born. They lived in Cresco before moving
to Nashua. Ed worked as a machinist for White Farm
Equipment Co, in Charles City. He then went to work in
Waverly as a welder at the Bantam Corporation retiring
in 1997 after 28 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting
and fishing in his spare time.
Ed is survived by his wife, Marlene;
three daughters, Captain Beverly Havlik of Seattle, WA,
Donna Havlik of Charles City and Valerie (Bradley) Addis
of Blaine, MN; a sister, Karlene (Raymond) Payer of
Pocahontas; two grandchildren, Jason & Trenton
Havlik and one great-grandchild, Starlynn.
He was preceded in death by a son,
Joe Havlik; his parents; and a brother, James Havlik.
