Andrea Yvonne Brannon,
age 89 of New Hampton, Iowa, died Friday evening, April 4, 2008,
at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
A memorial service will be held at a
later date with inurnment in
Calvary
Cemetery
, New Hampton.
Andrea was born December 30, 1918, in New
Hampton, IA to Martin and Audrey Hackett Robinson.
She grew up in the area and graduated in 1937 from
New
Hampton
High School
. She was a teacher for two years in a
Fredericksburg
,
IA
rural one room school house. She married Raymond P.
Brannon on November. 7, 1939 at
St. Joseph
's Catholic Church. She was a member of the American
Legion Auxiliary since 1946, was a homemaker all her life
and enjoyed her family, antiques and gardening. Andrea was
a scholar of life and a teacher, by gentle example, to all
who knew her.
Survivors include three daughters, Maryellen (William)

; Audrey (Ray) Sweitzer,
Cedar Falls

IA
; and Alissa (Joseph) Wilke,
Springboro
,
OH
; seven beloved grandchildren, six
great-grandchildren, a sister, Cynthia (Gene) Spurbeck,
Corona
,
CA
; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, Raymond; a son, Brian; a grandson,
Samuel Wilke; and two brothers, Jerome and Martin (Lee)
Robinson.
